craft Beer made right here
Nonesuch River Beer is brewed right onsite in our Scarborough brewery. What's on tap is always changing but here's a sampling of what we might have available.

Blonde Ale - 4.8%
This is our “gateway” beer to convert the light beer drinker to one of our beers. Highly carbonated, light and bright, this beer show the simple flavors of the malt and hops in a forward but not invasive manner.
IPA - 5.4%
A medium-bodied, highly fragrant, highly hopped example the east coast IPA. This over the top IPA will go well with any of our complexly seasoned dishes.
Double IPA - 8.1% (12 oz. pour 7)
This golden, medium bodied double starts with a 90 minute boil and additions of Warrior, Amarillo and Simcoe hops late in the boil for maximum aroma. Fermented for a subtle residual sweetness and married with Simcoe and Amarillo dry hopping to finish off this aromatic double.
Irish Red Ale - 4.4%
A well rounded, red hued, toasty beer that pairs well with...another pint of red!
ESB - 5.4%
This bright ale is purposely brewed to be mild in every respect. Mild ABV, bitterness, caramel sweet. This beer is the quintessential pub beer and should be enjoyed with lively conversation.
Santa's Reinbeer - 5.3%
This Brown ale is spiced with 18 lb of holiday spirit. It tastes like Christmas!
OktoberFAST - 4.6%
This Marzen style ale is our expedited version of the true Octoberfest Lager. We used Kolsch style yeast which ferments faster at a lower temperature giving this ale a lager like quality.
Stout - 5.2%
Light bodied and full of flavor, this traditional pub-style stout finishes with a warm roast ending. Perfectly smooth and comforting for the dark days of winter.
Warrior Wheat - 5.1%
This is our take on a traditional Dunkelweizen, a German dark wheat beer with deliciously complex malt and bittered with Warrior hops to balance it out. Bready like toast and murky from the wheat ale yeast. A portion of the proceeds from each pint will go to the Travis Mills Foundation right here in Maine.
